Wayfinding with a disability
Attention given to people with a disability.
People with a disability encounter many problems moving around in the public domain. Public organisations in particular must ensure that this group of people have the possibility of fully and freely moving around in society. ADA (American Disabilites Act) is a law that enforces this. This is not (yet) the case in Europe. We can certainly learn a lot from this and apply it practically. Signage in public buildings must conform to strict regulations. Adhering to these regulations is important, particularly in the case of emergencies.
